Meet Meg
Keynote Speaker, Entrepreneur, Visual Storyteller, Professor
Meg told her first story in third grade, when her teacher, Mrs. Wilson tasked the class with creating their own story books. Meg's book, The Castle Came from Nowhere, was so popular with her classmates and friends that her parents left it sitting on the front mantel for years.

From that moment on, Meg knew she wanted to spend her life storytelling. She went on to become a television journalist before entering academia, earning a PhD in rhetoric and writing in which she conducted original research studying the role of digital storytelling in individual and community development.

Meg has a passion for the study of storytelling and teaching others the methods and science of storytelling so they become inspired to tell their own stories. Her current research looks at how story allows people to understand multiple perspectives and applicable best practices to communicate across difference using stories.
